Home Based Care Programs
There is a need to build Family capacities in Homed Based Care Programs amidst prevailing crises. COVID-19 has exposed the fragility, uncertainty and transition challenges of both the National and County Governments in Kenya to support its citizens during crises. The situation has been made worse by families losing incomes and their livelihoods, reduced work opportunities, apathy to visit hospitals for those with underlying communicable and non-communicable diseases, reduced funding to institutions supporting the vulnerable communities and recent the industry actions where the doctors and nurses going on strike, amongst others.
I believe that at the family level, the lowest known structure at community level, if their capacities are built to offer Home Based Care Interventions to their significant members, this could promote human dignity and build strong communities.
I have vast experiences in home base care programs with proven track record
